Blanket Approval is an indie groove rock band from NYC. They formed in 2021 when lead singer Jack Matteucci took a collection of demos and moved to Brooklyn, quickly meeting drummer/singer Joey Hadden. The two were joined by bassist Max Mena after they collided in the crowd of a punk show in Queens, and later by keyboardist/guitarist Rahul Chakraborty as he answered an ad on Craigslist.

Being born in Northern Virginia at the crossroads between the North and South greatly influenced the multi-genre sounds that define my music. As a singer songwriter, I never wanted to be pigeonholed into one specific genre. I believe in always being a student of music and I am constantly experimenting with different styles and sounds.
